Odds of Getting In
The odds of making it in the business depend on how you define success.
If you're hard working, can market yourself well, know how to schmooze, and are willing to work for free or next to nothing when you're starting out, you should be able to find work.
If you're annoying, bossy, or just somebody who nobody wants to work with, you'll be hard pressed to make a career in this biz.
It's a crazy competitive field, and many people end up giving up or having an ego that gets in their way. But if you're persistent (and pleasant), you'll at least stand a chance.
