You can be famous within your industry for doing a great job, but otherwise, this isn't a very high profile position.
Unless you're the orthodontist to the stars, your fame will be limited. Even then, don't count on any red carpet treatment.
Your chance for fame lies in the East...like in Thailand or Malaysia, as a recent trend has cropped up with Asian teens wearing fake braces as a fashion statement.
But here in the US, you're just the friendly neighborhood orthodontist. Cheer up. What you lack in fame, you'll make up for in cash.
