College is over and you are living life in the real world now. It might be scary at first, but there are some major upsides here. More than half of the people who study zoology go back to get a graduate degree. A lot of the time, this is because they are seeking a more specific graduate degree. As we've said, zoology covers a broad spectrum and a grad degree gives it a smaller scope.

If you're worried about debts, we can alleviate that a little bit. Of all the biological and life sciences, zoology has the highest pay rate at the 25th percentile. So even if you're not bumped way up, you'll be making more than the basic botanist (take that flower lovers).

In addition to making decent money, the job satisfaction is higher than average. A 65 on this scale is better than on your finals. It means that you've got a good shot at really enjoying what you're doing, which should come as no surprise. After all, you wouldn't do it if you didn't enjoy it.
