Produce complete sentences, recognizing and correcting inappropriate fragments and run-ons.

Man, the fragment though. It drives us crazy. (Okay, yes, we use it all the time…but your students need to master the proper usage first.)

Run-ons aren't just really long sentences—they're sentences lacking appropriate punctuation. And seriously, a solid understanding of fragments and run-ons will make a world of a difference in your students' writing. These two devilish sentence types are difficult to exorcise, but exorcise we must.
