College of Our Lady of the Elms

About Me

Intro

Do you dream of finding the perfect school who will snuggle under a warm blanket with you and make you feel right at home? If so, look no further. Granted, I lack, you know, limbs and such, but my campus will offer you all the warmth and "at-home" coziness you need.

My welcoming, friendly atmosphere makes students feel like Elms is their home away from home, plus they're free to actually cozy up with a blanket by my amazing outdoor fireplace any time they like.

That's right: I have an outdoor fireplace. Boom.

I definitely embody the small college feel, and many of my students are Catholic, just so you know. I accept students of all religions and beliefs, but Catholics tend to flock to me the most.

Oh, and I'm not just about blankets and perfect settings for sipping hot cocoa, either. I work hard to make sure my students get a quality education, particularly in the fields of health care, education, business management, and social work. After all, hot cocoa's all the sweeter when you sip it while studying—er, something like that.

Name

Bolt (yes, as in lightning)

Hometown

Chicopee, Massachusetts, is where I rest my head. It's a cozy college town with a lovely small city atmosphere. There are concerts and coffee shops, but not so many people that it ever feels overwhelming to hang downtown.

Birthdate

1928

Body Type

At just under 1,500 students, I'm pretty small. Don't let this fool you, though—I may look small and unassuming, but I will blow your mind with how much knowledge flows around my campus and how kind my students are.

In other words, don't judge me by my size.

Current Living Situation

Remember in 500 Days of Summer when Tom is out on the street, and everyone is singing and happy, blue birds are chirping, and the scenery is gorgeous? I'm like that, minus the singing—oh, and minus the salty breakup that happens after.

No matter the season I always look beautiful and I'm sure to make you smile. Perhaps you'll even feel like remedying that lack of singing we're experiencing over here.

If you're looking for the perfect spot to dorm it up, look no further. Although some students commute to campus, most live on campus, and there's a good reason for this. I offer three different dorm buildings, each with different personalities. From a secluded, quiet atmosphere in Divine Hall to a more social, larger house, O'Leary Hall, you're sure to find a place that feels perfect for you.

Relationship Status

Think of me as the down-to-earth friend who truly can make friends with almost anyone. Believe it or not, I don't have any rivals.

Religion

I'm a private Catholic college, but you don't need to follow Catholicism to attend me. Sure, many of the events on campus reflect my strong faith, but I'm welcoming and open to people of all religions, including those who don't practice any at all.

Politics

I'm generally a liberal school, but I'm super friendly to new ideas. You've got nothing to fear if you lean conservative.

You should apply to me if...

you want to feel valued. People really get to know each other in my close-knit community, supporting each other through the hard times and celebrating each other's successes.
