Up in arms Why Should I Care

Why Should I Care?

Oh come on. You've never seen someone fume over something when it was really no biggie? This saying is about anger, but it's also about the destructive consequences that can result when we cultivate our anger, rather than try a more productive outlet for this potentially dangerous emotion (like, say, killing someone?).

Warwick went all ballistic on Gloucester because he got in his way. The Captain describes this as getting up in arms. And who can blame him?

In our lives, people freak out over stuff all the time. And we'll admit it. Sometimes we get crazy upset over not getting our morning coffee or not finding those gorgeous new shoes in our size. But the truth is: the Captain is right. We shouldn't sweat the small stuff.

So put those arms down once in a while. No, not those arms.
