Character Role Analysis
Bonnie and Clyde
This film is clearly about Bonnie and Clyde—just check out the title.
We follow them from the very first moments of the film, focus on the love that blooms between them, and watch as they live out their short lives of crime. While they're outlaws who do bad things, the film intends us to sympathize with them in numerous ways as well. They're kind to poor people throughout the story, and in many ways they are both portrayed as being gentle and human… even if they are trigger-happy.
