Jessie Alden Timeline and Summary

Overhearing a disturbing conversation between the baker and his wife, Jessie and Henry decide to run away from the bakery.
The kids walk for several nights, sleeping during the day so they won't be seen.
One day, seeing that a storm is brewing, Jessie seeks shelter and finds the boxcar. After the storm, she pushes Henry to make it their home, and he says yes.
The kids settle into a new pattern where Jessie watches the younger kids while Henry works at Dr. Moore's during the day. Jessie works as the family cook and housekeeper.
One day, while Henry is at work, the children come upon an injured dog. Jessie removes a huge thorn from its paw, and just like that, they now have a dog.
One night, Henry and Jessie hear an intruder. Jessie is afraid, but nothing comes of it.
One day, Jessie and the other children go with Henry to help him pick cherries in Dr. Moore's orchard.
Jessie and the other children move into Dr. Moore's house after Violet gets sick.
Mr. Alden, Jessie's grandfather, comes to stay at Dr. Moore's, but he doesn't tell Jessie or the other kids his true identity. Eventually, Henry figures it out and tells Jessie what's up.
Jessie and the other kids go to live with Mr. Alden in his fancy mansion. Yay.
