- After some dicey climbing, Uther and Merlin arrive with Ralf to the secret entrance of Tintagel. It's a bit touch-and-go with the young guard, who's called Felix, but they get in.
- Uther, Merlin, and Ralf have to run the gauntlet once they're inside, with two armed guards at the top of the stairs. But Ralf is clever and runs interference by grabbing the guards' torch. Otherwise, everyone in the party is ready to kill the guards.
- Ygraine plays her part by opening her bedroom door just in time and calling Uther "My Lord." The guards are convinced and turn away. Uther takes Ygraine in his arms and…well, you know.
