Mental illness and sex. Now we've got your attention, right? Actually, the challenges of Don Quixote really have to do with the way others treat each other—the sex and mental illness are just side notes to some generally mean behavior.

Both mental illness and sex are used as tools for other people to get what they want. What do we mean? Well, Don Quixote is clearly not firing on all cylinders, so naturally (not) those around him play some pretty mean tricks on him. Some ladies tie him up in a window and leave him hanging by his arms, drooping down the side of the inn. That's not nice. And the guy's like fifty or something, that's got to be brutal to his body.
