Nora Grey Timeline and Summary

  • Nora gets a new seatmate in bio class, along with an assignment to interview said seatmate. She answer's Patch's questions, but he does not answer hers.
  • Concerned about her grade, she calls Patch to get answers, and when that doesn't work, she goes to Bo's Arcade to see him, but all she gets are evasions and flirting.
  • Later that night, Nora gets the eerie feeling that someone is watching her while she's in her bed.
  • Back in bio, Patch's flirtations continue. Nora asks for a new seat, but no dice.
  • Nora and Vee go to the movies and then to the library so Nora can write up her movie review. They run into Marcie Millar and see Patch there.
  • While driving Vee's car home, Nora gets the chilly feeling that she's being watched again, and then someone in a ski mask attacks the car.
  • Nora returns to Vee's, but by the time she gets there, there is no longer any sign of the damage done to the car.
  • Nora spends the night at Vee's and then the two go to breakfast before school. They meet two intriguing dudes, Jules and Elliot, at the bistro. Turns out, Elliot is transferring to CHS.
  • Nora and Vee do some digging on Patch. Nora sneaks into the records office at school, while Vee keeps watch (and calls in a bomb threat).
  • They accidentally go to dinner at the Mexican restaurant where Patch works. Patch talks to Nora while Vee is in the bathroom. He does more of that flirting, asks Nora out, and calls her "Angel." Nora turns him down and says she knows there's something off about him because there was nothing in his student file.
  • Nora is surprised to see Elliot in her gym class and to see Patch watching her. He picks her first for softball and then asks her out. She agrees.
  • On Saturday night, Nora and Vee go to Delphic amusement park with Elliot and Jules. Patch is there, too, and he asks Nora to ditch the others and ride the Archangel with him. She says no.
  • Nora goes to get cotton candy, and wouldn't you know it, finds herself walking toward the Archangel. She sees the hooded figure on the way.
  • The ride has creepy pictures of demons ripping the wings off an angel, and the ride itself quickly turns frightening as Nora is flung from the car. But then the ride comes to a stop with Nora safely buckled inside. Weird hallucination?
  • After the Archangel, Nora can't find Vee, so she has to accept a ride home from Patch on his motorcycle.
  • Patch invites himself in for tacos and groping.
  • Nora and Vee go shopping, where she sees the hooded figure watching her again.
  • Vee takes Nora's jacket to get the stalker to follow her so that Nora can follow both of them to find out who it is, but Vee ends up getting attacked by the figure.
  • Nora goes to see Miss Greene, the new school psychologist, for her weekly appointment. Nora's not really into it, so Miss Greene lets her go after a short meeting, but she does warn Nora not to meet Patch outside of school.
  • Nora goes to the library to do her review for the eZine. She cyberstalks Patch but finds nothing. However, she does find an article about Elliot and his questioning in the death of eighteen-year-old Kjirsten Halverson.
  • Elliot shows up while she is reading the article. She stumbles her way out of a dinner invitation.
  • Nora visits a hospitalized Vee, who describes being attack by someone in a ski mask. Nora wonders what's going on with this ski mask person and whether he/she has the ability to alter vision and memory.
  • Nora and Vee go to the Borderline to celebrate Vee's release from the hospital and snoop on Patch. Vee has invited Jules and Elliot as well, but Jules is sick.
  • Nora dresses in disguise to ask the bartender some questions about Patch. Patch catches her and answers some of her questions (like about whether he has a girlfriend—he says he has an ex and Nora wonders if the ex could be her stalker).
  • Nora goes home and has a nice talk with her mom before she is called back to work.
  • Upstairs, Nora finds her room trashed and catches a glimpse of the guy in the ski mask. She calls the police, but when they get there, everything is in back in order.
  • Nora tells Vee about the article and the break in. She thinks Elliot did it, but Vee doesn't agree.
  • Nora goes to her weekly meeting with Miss Greene, who somehow knows she's seen Patch outside of school and berates her for it.
  • Nora gets into a name-calling spat with Marcie at the library. When she goes out a back way through the parking garage to avoid Marcie, she runs into Patch. She asks him whether he attacked Vee and why he came to the same school as her. He asks her out.
  • Detectives Basso and Holstijic question Nora in Marcie's attack, which happened after their fight. Nora had nothing to do with it, so they ask if her boyfriend might have been involved.
  • Patch picks Nora up for their date. They go to Bo's, where Patch play wrestles with Rixon and reveals two long scars on his back.
  • Nora finds a stained flashlight in Patch's car and asks if he bludgeoned Marcie Millar with it.
  • Patch denies it and drives Nora home and meets her mom.
  • Nora thinks about Patch's scars and is reminded of the picture on the Archangel. She researches fallen angels, finds out some creepy stuff about how they possess bodies, and worries that Patch might want to possess her.
  • Elliot comes to Nora's house early on Sunday to ask her and Vee to go camping with him and Jules. When she says no, he grabs her and threatens her.
  • Nora takes the bus to Portland and goes to a diner to ask around about Elliot and Kjirsten.
  • Nora catches the bus home, but then Vee texts to say she's at a party in Portland with Jules and Elliot, who stepped out to go get something. So Nora goes to get Vee.
  • Nora has to ask a homeless woman for directions, giving up her hat and coat (with her cellphone still in the pocket) in exchange for the info.
  • The bag lady is shot, but while Nora is calling 9-1-1, the body vanishes, so she calls Patch to come get her.
  • Patch picks her up and they promptly have car trouble in bad weather. They go to a cheap motel to call for help.
  • At the hotel, Nora touches Patch's scars and is sucked into a flashback in which she sees Patch talking to Dabria, who mentions he's going to kill Nora.
  • Nora fights with Patch over the him-wanting-to kill-her thing. He lets her touch his scars again to show that he wants her to trust him.
  • Nora sees Patch talking to Rixon about wanting to become human.
  • When Patch hears that Nora knows Dabria as Miss Greene and that Dabria is still hanging around, he is surprised. They both wonder if Dabria is out to get Nora.
  • Patch drives Nora home and goes looking for Dabria.
  • Dabria shows up at Nora's, reveals that Nora is a descendent of Patch's Nephil vassal and that he wants to kill her to become human, and then she attacks Nora.
  • Patch finds Nora in the burning house and tells her to drive to Delphic while he takes care of Dabria, but Nora goes to the movies instead to look for Vee.
  • Patch finds Nora at the movies. The two share a steamy kiss in the bathroom before Vee calls Nora, asking her to come play hide-and-seek at school. Elliot gets on the phone and threatens to kill Vee if Nora doesn't show up.
  • Patch tells Nora to wait in the car when the get to the school, but after he doesn't come back and Elliot calls to say he sees her, she goes inside.
  • Inside the dark school, she sees Jules dead and Elliot gravely injured.
  • But wait, Jules isn't dead—he just tricked her and has been playing with her mind all this time. He wants to hurt her to get back at Patch for using him as his vassal.
  • Nora realizes that Jules is Chauncey and so she's related to him.
  • Nora fights Jules off well enough to get to Vee, but as they try to escape the building, Jules reappears. Nora tells Vee to leave and call the police, which she does.
  • Nora runs to the gym to find a place to hide, but there is none.
  • Patch takes possession of Nora's body to help her fight Jules off, but because it is not Cheshvan, he can't stay in her body for long.
  • Nora climbs a ladder to get to an air duct, thinking she can use it to find a way to safety.
  • Jules follows her, though, playing with her mind until she is cornered on a rafter.
  • Nora chooses to throw herself from the rafter rather than have Jules kill her. That way, at least, Patch will get a body because of her sacrifice.
  • Nora wakes up in her bed. Patch is there and explains that she died, killing Jules, but Patch didn't accept her sacrifice, so she got to come back and he is now her guardian angel.
  • The detectives show up to question Nora about the damage done to the house. Nora explains that Miss Greene stormed in, demanding something from Nora and then going crazy and wreaking havoc.
  • The detectives advise Mrs. Grey to get a security system, and the security company sends Patch to spec the house.
  • Nora and Patch kiss.
