- Their mom comes back from her vacation rejuvenated, but unfortunately is all focused on Annabel's upcoming fashion show.
- Kristen will also be in front of a crowd to present her film on the same day. Annabel has watched the film and liked it, although she doesn't really get it. Kristen said that was okay though.
- Annabel comes downstairs to find Whitney working at the kitchen table. She's been more social lately with Moira Bell's group, and when Annabel asks her what she's doing, she doesn't snap or get angry. Instead she says that she's writing two histories—one of her life, and one of her eating disorder.
- This is a big deal because it's the first time that Annabel's heard Whitney admit to her eating disorder.
- It's a year-by-year history and Whitney is having a hard time with remembering everything. Annabel reminds her that she broke her arm when she was eleven (after all, that was in Kristen's film).
- As she's walking out of yet another rehearsal at the mall, Owen surprises Annabel by picking her up in his Land Cruiser and forcing her to listen to some truly atrocious music.
- She says that it would probably only sound good in a car wash—because everything sounds better in a car wash—and Owen demands that she show him this phenomenon.
- They go through a car wash and Owen leans over and kisses Annabel for the first time. Finally.
- On the evening of the fashion show, Annabel is sitting in the dressing room when she hears some of the other models gossiping about how Emily hooked up with Will Cash in his car—she immediately freezes up.
- Annabel goes out onto the stage to walk and sees that Mallory, her mom, and Whitney are all out there watching her. As she's walking back on the runway she catches Emily's gaze and immediately sees something familiar in her eyes.
