Mary Martin de Porres

Character Analysis

She is a nun at the local mission in the story's present (the 1980s). Gerry ends up trying to confess his "crimes" to her when he goes to the mission after believing he hit June with his car. According to Lipsha Morrissey, she was known as "the kindest-hearted of the Sisters up the hill, and she was" (13.1.91). She sounds like good people to us.
