Salinger's book dedication of Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters and Seymour: an Introduction is as follows: "If there is an amateur reader still left in the world – or anybody who just reads and runs – I ask him or her, with untellable affection and gratitude – to split the dedication of this book four ways with my wife and children."

Both fictional character Buddy Glass and Salinger himself were born in 1919 – supporting the argument that Buddy's Salinger's alter ego. (Source)

American writer John Updike famously bashed Salinger's Glass family creations in this review for the New York Times.

New York City-based rock band Radio America titled their second full-length album "Raise High," alluding to Salinger's story (whose title, in turn, is taken from a line in Sappho's poetry).
