Ratcliffe and Catesby

Character Analysis

Ratcliffe and Catesby are two of Richard's minions. Even though they're noblemen, they act like a couple of thugs. (Actually, let's face it, being noble in this play doesn't mean much.) Basically they run a lot of errands for Richard, do some of his dirty work, and tattle on everyone who doesn't go along with his plans – like the time they try to get Hastings to scheme against Richard's enemies.
