Character Analysis
The people who show up in the magic theater are all parts of Harry's imagination. Some of them are from his past, some seem to be made up, but they all reveal some sort of secret desire that Harry has.
We meet Rosa Kreisler, who was Harry's first love as a child. She shows up in the magic theater to give him the chance to tell her that he loves her instead of being shy, like he had in real life.
Harry's school friend Gustav shows up in the automobile war section of the theater, and Harry joins him to fight against the machines.
Attorney General Loering is one of the victims when Harry and Gustav are shooting cars, as is Dora (the attorney general's stenographer), who joins Harry and Gustav when her boss gets taken away.
