  • Mother rushes into the room where Tendai is being held.
  • She can't believe it—she finally has her children back. Rita races over to hug her, but Tendai is still too weak.
  • As they are reuniting, Mother catches a glimpse of the She Elephant and raises her gun, ready to shoot.
  • Rita stops her, saying the She Elephant tried to help in the end so she's not all bad.
  • The door opens and in races the General, with paramedics and troops to help.
  • He hugs the kids and explains to Mother that he came after her with support when he realized she left the house.
  • Tendai grabs the ndoro from his neck and places it on Arm.
  • Suddenly, the paramedic can find a pulse. Phew.
  • Arm wakes up and asks where Sekai is. Mother explains that the Mellower has her.
  • Arm is annoyed, but then he realizes he can't read minds anymore. Wait a minute… this means he can keep Sekai. Hooray.
  • Mother explains who Sekai is to the kids, and Rita and Tendai are relieved that the baby girl didn't die in Resthaven.
  • As everyone chats, the General talks to Tendai as though he's a man, not a kid anymore. Finally.
  • Everyone realizes it's Tendai's birthday and tells him to make a wish.
  • Before, he would have wished for something silly, like adventure, but now all he wants is courage.
