Sal is the lady of the hour. She's our narrator and the girl who goes through the biggest journey, at least the journey that we see the most of. Along the way, she's got a lot of monsters to battle – most of which exist within her own heart and mind. Losing a mom is never easy, but it's hard when all of the sudden, you find yourself in a new town and in a new school with new classmates and some weird goings on.
