About Me

Intro

I get around—at least enough to make good conversation about the world. I have friends from more than one hundred countries and I speak five languages. That's no humblebrag, I'm just telling you how it is: I am awesome.

Itching to know more about me? I know you are. Well, green is not only my favorite color, but also my favorite philosophy. Most of my houses—that's right, I have six of them—are brand spankin' new and environmentally friendly. No water is wasted. I recycle everything. Even my electricity's on motion detectors.

I've got an incredible greenhouse at my disposal, too, and I'd love to show you my 190-acre nature preserve. Since the world has been so good to me, I'm all too happy to return the favor.

I'm generally curious and I like research. I've won awards, sure—Pulitzer, Fulbright, Ford, and Guggenheim—but that's not why I do it. The truth is, when I'm not enjoying the Bearcat nightlife with friends, I just really love learning.

Name

Baxter Bearcat

Hometown

Vestal, NY, near the Susque-how-do-you-say-that?-hanna River. No, Vestal is not one of the five boroughs. Better Google it.

Birthdate

January 1st, 1946

Body Type

I'm not the biggest man around, but I'm jacked. I lift more than 12,000 students to heights they never could have reached before. Not too shabby. Please excuse me for a moment, I have to check something out in the mirror…

Current Living Situation

Okay, so it's not as fancy as hotel living, but it's pretty close. Each of my dorms is different, and they're all brand-new. The students who live on campus can get a little feisty with each other about which dorm is best…but it's all in good fun, of course.

Relationship Status

Back in 2007, I had a pretty rough go of it. I was in two tumultuous relationships with Syracuse University and Boston University. I bounced back from all that only to get tangled up with Cornell University. As it turns out, we were altogether too competitive to keep it cool with each other. I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. I'm the kind of college that enjoys the athletic upper hand. I can't help it.

You should apply to me if...

you like long walks on the mountain trail and your last stay at a hotel just wasn't snazzy enough.
