The identity of Watergate informant Deep Throat was finally revealed on this day in 2005, more than thirty years after his intel helped topple the Nixon administration. Turns out it was the former associate director of the FBI, Mark Felt. Other folks suspected of being Deep Throat included presidents Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush, Henry Kissinger, Diane Sawyer, and Ben Stein—as in Nixon speechwriter and "the teacher from Ferris Bueller's Day Off" Ben Stein. We don't know about you, but taking top-secret tips from that guy would put us right to sleep.
