For many people, the simple act of buying and selling guns is enough to make you a walking example of American patriotism. For others, it makes you Voldemort. The simple truth of the matter is people have strong feelings about firearms, so you're in for a lot of loud opinions from the loudest voices.
Some organizations exist to back you up, while others exist to tear you down. Just staying in business in the face of both financial and social uncertainty should make you feel glorious in itself. And while there are awards for operating gun stores, you might find it more glorious just to be a pretty good salesperson.
