At this point, we're surprised they don't have Medical Pre-Schools. You know, where your toddler can acquire motor skills and an advanced knowledge of demyelinating diseases of the central nervous system like multiple sclerosis (they don't...yet).

You will need more than a decade of schooling, starting with a four-year undergraduate degree in the sciences. Don't forget to complete all the pre-med requirements. Then you'll need to take the MCAT, get into an amazing medical school program, and spend another four years of school to get your Doctor of Medicine degree (the M.D.). And then you're done, right?

Psshhh… nope. You'll need to pass the Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE).

And then you begin life as a neurology specialist. Aspiring neurologists intern for a year in either internal medicine or surgery. Then they complete an accredited, three-year residency program, which involves lectures, patient rounds, and case studies.

With some experience under your belt, and what will feel like a gazillion years of school, you can finally introduce yourself to all your friends as an "M.D. in Neurology." Because that's all that really matters, right?
