Fame

Having a lot of money can make you famous, but that's a tired route to fame. Putting out consistent, high-quality work might make you famous within the places you operate, and if that's what you're after you could probably swing a couple early-morning talk show appearances.

All that said, fame probably isn't what you're after if you're going into this field (hint: it's about the cash). But if it is, you'll have to find a way to make land development entertaining (spoiler alert: that'll be pretty difficult).

There is, however, a huge market for real estate development reality shows. Flip the tube to HGTV or TLC at any time of day and you're sure to find a show about flipping homes, renovating fixer-uppers, or placing first-time buyers in the home of their budget's dreams. Carve out enough of a niche for yourself and you may find a television producer knocking on your door to make you the next (minor) reality star.
