If you make contact with a rifle coach and have the passion, motivation, and scores to keep them interested, chances are pretty high that you can just walk right on the team (source).

But what's a good score? Well, a score of 7 is the lowest you can get, and anything above 10 is your goal (source). The more often you can hit the bull's eye, the better. Also, this is generally true for all NCAA sports, but keep those grades up. Aim for anything above a 2.5.
