Fame

As you can tell, the stadium isn't exactly full…

Okay, so college tennis players probably aren't going to get a whole lot of love on campus…well, aside from the little perks that come with the title of "NCAA student-athlete," like free gear, study supplies, and priority registration for classes. What we mean is that tennis doesn't garner the attendance or national TV time (ahem, money) of sports like football or basketball.

If you're one of the lucky few college tennis players who turns pro and ends up ranking internationally in the top twenty, then congrats. You're one of the even luckier few professional tennis players who actually makes good money and receives some acclaim.

Outside of that, fame in the world of tennis is hard to come by.

It also helps if your name is Roger Federer and you can do stuff like this.
