Men's vs. Women's

Men's vs. Women's

As far as gameplay is concerned, NCAA tennis for men and women is identical. While the two teams at most schools probably won't play much together, they generally still share the same facilities, workout space, and, of course, courts. If you refer to our "Top Colleges" section, you'll probably even notice that there's significant overlap in terms of top-tier programs.

The main difference between men's and women's tennis, however, is the amount of scholarship money available. In part because of Title IX legislation, women hoping to play college tennis are more likely to grab some scholarship dough than men.

For men hoping to play college tennis, ye be warned: this ain't football, where everyone gets a full scholarship. They're definitely tougher to come by.
