Character Analysis
Henri Pichot's sister and the sheriff's wife, Edna is Miss Emma's ace in the hole for getting visitation rights to the jail. She grew up eating Emma's cooking, and feels for her when her boy is in trouble. She pulls strings to get Miss Emma access to the day room when she visits Jefferson, which her husband isn't too excited about.
