Flipped Theme of Love

Sometimes love is a bumpy road—and in Flipped, it's a super bumpy pot-hole-filled road with plenty of twists and turns. For Bryce and Juli love isn't simple. When Juli likes Bryce, he doesn't like her; and then when Bryce starts liking Juli, she's changed her mind about him. Yikes, right? The upside to their ups and downs, though, is that it gives them time to learn that with love it's important to get to know a person inside and out; in the process they also come to understand that it's not a good idea to make assumptions about others—and that's a lesson that will help them both be more loving toward all people, whether it's romantic or not.
