Flipped Theme of Perseverance

For some folks in Flipped, perseverance comes easy. Our girl Juli works hard at everything she does—seriously, that girl is a force that can't be stopped. Now compare Juli to Bryce. Let's just say that persistence isn't his first instinct—but over time, he learns that working hard can have some major rewards. Of course it's not all butterflies and unicorns for the hardworking characters in this book, and sometimes working hard doesn't turn out great in the end. So that means our characters also learn that perseverance can't change everything—and that's one tough lesson.
