Character Analysis
Ben Patimkin is a hard-working, self-made man. His lousy grammar suggests that he built Patimkin Kitchen and Bathroom Sinks (the heart of the Patimkin wealth) without the benefit of much education. He dotes on his wife and children, giving them everything money can buy. He's rather rash and abrasive on the surface, but soft as pudding on the inside. He is an Observant Jew, though not as strictly observant as his wife.
