Character Analysis
With a name like Crazy Kelvin, we don't expect this dude to be the most level-headed guy around. As Delphine points out, "He looked like a fugitive from justice. I could spot one when I saw one" (5.53). This is our first peek at Crazy Kelvin, and immediately, Delphine thinks there's something off about the guy.
Guess what? It turns out Delphine's right. While she may be referring to someone running from the justice system in the above quote, Crazy Kelvin is actually two-timing the Black Panthers. Fern catches him working alongside the cops against the Black Panthers, selling the revolutionary organization out to one of the primary forces they oppose. Ugh.
