Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Scene 21 Summary

  • Qui-Gon enters a parts dealership, and the owner, Watto, brings him out back to check out his wares.
  • A boy is left to mind the store. The boy strikes up a conversation with Padmé. We learn his name is Anakin and that he and his mother are Watto's slaves.
  • Out back, Watto finds the part Qui-Gon needs, claiming he's the only one who has it. Qui-Gon tries his mind trick to get Watto to accept Republican credits in exchange, but it doesn't work. They leave empty-handed.
