- The droids destroy the Gungans' shield generator. Jar Jar accidently opens a wagon of the Gungan water bombs. After bumbling his way through the battlefield, he destroys a droid tank.
- At the throne room, Padmé and her soldiers are captured by droidekas.
- At the space dogfight, Anakin is hit and crash lands inside the droid battle station. He tries to start the engines, but the ship is overheated.
- Back at the Jedi, the corridor of force fields opens. Qui-Gon engages Darth Maul.
- Obi-Wan rushes through but is cut off when the last force fields close again. Qui-Gon continues to fight, but Darth Maul gains the advantage and slays the Jedi.
- Qui-Gon is dead, and Obi-Wan is mad.
