- While they prepare to leave, Obi-Wan objects that the boy is dangerous, but Qui-Gon tells him to let the Council worry about Anakin's future.
- Qui-Gon tells Anakin that he can't train him, so he is to watch him and learn. He also tells him about midi-chlorians, but we'll get more into that in our "Symbols, Imagery, Allusions" section.
