Whisper's Joint
- Whisper's joint is a 3-story brick building with a cigar store on the first floor that serves as the front for his gambling establishment upstairs.
- Noonan's police force surrounds the building, but Noonan tells the Op to try and convince Whisper to exit the building peacefully. No sense in any bloodshed, right?
- The Op tells Thaler and his men that he knows Noonan is trying to frame Thaler for the murder. So Thaler explains that the night of the murder, an unknown man had called him to tell him that Donald was bringing money to Dinah. Thaler was at the scene of the crime but he hadn't killed Donald.
- The Op persuades Thaler to sneak away and keep under cover until noon tomorrow. He hints that Noonan's frame-up attempt isn't going to hold up.
