Exactly how steamy is this story?

Red Harvest is pretty tame when it comes to its steaminess factor. There's no sex at all, and only a vague love interest that doesn't lead anywhere. We're not even sure if the Op is into Dinah, but they do end up spending quite a lot of time together. We suspect that he's very affected by her murder, but of course, he doesn't give us any access to his emotions.
But even though there's no explicit sex or romance in the novel, it does still require a PG-13 rating due to the extreme violence. Over a dozen people die during the course of the novel, and even the title itself, Red Harvest, is an allusion to the large amounts of spilled blood that occur.
It's not a pretty sight.
