War and Peace Volume 4, Part 3, Chapter 6 Summary

  • Denisov is kind of ticked off that Tikhon is coming back without a prisoner. They wanted to kidnap one of the soldiers and interrogate him about the kind of troops they’re about to attack.
  • Tikhon is all, well, I did get a prisoner, but he was obnoxious...so I didn’t bring him back. (Keep up, guys – that means Tikhon killed him.)
  • But no worries – while Tikhon was sneaking around, he saw enough about the French to plan the attack.
  • Petya eats all this up. He’s getting a huge kick out of being around all these manly men and is trying his best not to be intimidated. Which is hard when you’re basically just a kid.
