Odds of Getting In
If you have your sights set on any job within the field of farm research science, you shouldn't have any trouble landing a job after college. Each state has its own rules for processing and accepting food from other places, which means there should be jobs to choose from in every state. Just be ready to start at a lower level and work your way up as you gain experience (and more schooling).
The highest paying farm research jobs are with the federal government, but there aren't a lot of those to go around. In any case, you have an excellent chance of working in your chosen field with this career.
