You could get famous like this customer service rep who refused to honor this guy's request to cancel his cable service without asking him over and over again, "But why, but why...?" until it turned into a "You can't make me" bully session. Guess he didn't realize he was being recorded. Womp Womp. He may have lost his job, however the call did go viral and land him on the Us magazine website.

Helping someone place an order of a box of these won't make you famous, even if they're ripe and juicy and not this shocking shade of green. (Source)

You could try to model yourself after someone famous when talking to people to connect with them (folks respond better if they think they're getting help from people who sound like Anderson Cooper or Jennifer Garner apparently).

However, chances are you are not going to get famous for helping someone return a pair of Zappos shoes, or for placing an order of fresh boxed pears for them. You're just going to have to settle with hoping that someday you'll help someone famous and get an autographed picture to hang on the wall of your cubicle.
