Power

You have the power to raise someone's credit line, or forgive them missing a credit card payment.

You can hold the future about whether little Johnny goes to summer camp or if Suzy Seashell makes her car payment in the palm of your hand.

You can help the technologically inept order things from the Internet. Do you have any idea how many people, young and old, think they're calling Google or Yahoo when they call you and ask you to just send them a pair of shoes, or a book, or a white toaster? A lot.

Without you, these people may never have the opportunity to get an authentic snow cone machine, or a costume that turns their dog into an AT-AT walker.

They need you. For however many minutes that you're allowed by your boss to be talking to them (because you know you have time allotments and quotas to fill), you're in charge.
