Once you are established, this may depend much on your record of cases won and lost or, if you are not a trial lawyer, on the size of your client base and the extent to which they value your services. With so much competition within the industry, it’s tough to hang on if you’re always either late filing legal documents or keep showing up to court in your pajamas.
