Psychologist

Glory

Psychologists experience glory filled moments when they help people lead more productive lives. Psychological research sheds light on the human psyche, which helps people understand how their mind works, or improves our knowledge of the nature of certain behaviors. For example, a paper published in the journal Social Psychological and Personality Science found that male skateboarders take more risks when in the presence of an attractive woman. Duh. However, their research found that, in light of this observation, sexual selection favors men who engage in competitive behavior because it raises their chances for reproductive success. Oh, good. Now they can compete to see who can make the most babies.
