You don’t get into this line of work unless you want to test your mastery over the elements. You have to start with a certain sickness. So when you’re challenging gravity, or ferocious beasts, or the extent to which the human body is supposed to bend or twist, and coming out of it unscathed, you’re going to feel pretty darn good about yourself. That’s your own personal brand of glory. Even if everyone else thinks you’re just bonkers.
