Tuna are predators and eat many smaller fish that have low levels of mercury in their tissue. Biological + diversity = biodiversity. As in, "Wow, there are a lot of different types of plants, animals, fungi, and microbes living here." Biodiversity is usually measured in number of species. If your backyard has 15 species in it and ours only has 4, then your yard has higher biodiversity than ours does.

Say there is a river running through your town. Your neighbors want to water their lawn, you want to wash your car, the farmer on the outskirts of town needs to water his crops, and the town uses it for drinking water, too. If everyone keeps taking water out of the river, there will be none left for the people downstream. This is a real-life example in many places in the western U.S., but the term can be applied in other situations where a resource belongs to everyone, but when every individual acts with only him or herself in mind, the resource gets all used up.
This is a species that is likely to become endangered in the foreseeable future. Threatened species are not in as bad of shape as endangered species, but are still protected in the U.S. under the Endangered Species Act.
