Stress

People take college basketball seriously. So, the pressure might be unbearable at times. There's a lot at stake when so many people are paying attention. Your school's basketball dynasty might be on the line. To put it simply: you better make that shot.

College basketball players, especially the D-I players, basically have a full-time job in addition that other full-time job of being a student. Unsurprisingly, many student athletes sacrifice their grades or pick an easier major so they can devote more energy to the game. That does not bode well for any of their futures.

If you're looking for a better student-athlete balance, we recommend playing at a lower level. If you're committed to playing for a D-I program, you still can't forget your studies. Basically, you have to be Superman.

Like we said, you're probably not going to the NBA. A good education is the surest way to a solid job. Do we sound like your mom? Well. Sometimes, she's right.
