- They rush to the Marble Cemetery, where Alec cuts his hand and drips blood into a bowl to open the door to the Silent City. They haven't heard of a key?
- Clary uses her witchlight stone to light the way down to the cells where Jace is being held.
- Along the way, they step over the dismembered bodies of the Silent Brothers.
- Finally, they reach Jace. Clary draws an Open rune on the door, and bam.
- Everything opens—the door blows off its hinges, Jace's shackles come off. (What about his pants?)
- She wakes Jace, and Alec draws an iratze, a healing wound, on him.
- Alec supports Jace and they leave the Silent City.
- In the graveyard, dozens of Shadowhunters are waiting for them, including Maryse Lightwood.
