How It All Goes Down
- Lots of bad news coming your way in this chapter.
- First, Tyler killed our narrator's boss. He made his computer monitor into a bomb.
- Second, when our narrator hops a bus back home, it's filled to the brim with shaved-head Project Mayhem space monkeys.
- Third, they're going to castrate him for trying to shut down Project Mayhem. Tyler's orders.
- There's a brief moment of relief when the cops show up and intervene.
- But then, bad news number four, the cops are also in Project Mayhem. What? Our narrator tries to escape through the bus window, but they pull him back in and press an ether-covered cloth over his mouth until he passes out.
- Does it count as good news that the insomniac is getting some sleep?
