Wes Anderson, Hugo Arthur Rundell Guinness

Our man Wes Anderson is, of course, the guy responsible for the Grand Budapest screenplay. However, seeing as you can read all about him in our Director section, we're going to spend a moment talking about the story behind the screenplay and Anderson's co-author, Hugo Arthur Rundell Guinness—or Huey, as we like to call him. If you remember all of those paintings that filled the Tenenbaums' house, they were the work of this writer, artist, and longtime friend of Anderson.

Guinness actually traveled with Anderson on tours of India and through Rome before The Darjeeling Limited and Life Aquatic respectively. It's unclear how much Guinness contributed to the script. In an interview he claims his input extended as far as making Anderson laugh. However, his contribution was enough to land his name in the Oscar nomination for the screenplay.
