When the Furby came out, prompting dozens of Toys R Us brawls on Black Friday, Warner Bros. almost started a fight of their own with Hasbro, the maker of the talking toy. They noted a similarity between the Furby and Gizmo from Gremlins. But the big WB had a good working relationship with the toy company, and instead released an officially licensed Gizmo Furby.
