Peder/Prince Steffan

It seems like whenever teenage girls are involved, there's always some kind of love triangle. Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? Peeta or Gale? In Princess Academy, there are two boys on Miri's mind—her best friend Peder and Prince Steffan.

Peder is a mountain boy who's always been Miri's best friend, but Prince Steffan is the unknown royal heir who could open up a world of possibilities for Miri. Peder represents home, while Prince Steffan represents the riches that await in Asland. In the end Miri chooses Peder—and ultimately chooses her home on Mount Eskel.
